Hey Jaiden, I’m dealing with a cold at the moment and I really appreciate you sharing this to the world, even though the pain you went through was obviously not good, it bought me a bit of comfort to see someone who did get unexpectedly sick recover from it and live to tell the story.
Thank you Jaiden for providing me a bit of extra hope to me, I hope you have a good day.

I've been in a similar situation once, I got a sunburn on my back and then this thing called "Hell's itch" happened. It's pretty rare but it's basically a very strong sensation of both burning and itching

Just recently, I also had to deal with hives. Basically, I went on a trip with my family and I accidentally ate a plateful of something I was allergic to. I had hives all over my body and it was one of the most painful experiences of my life. Thankfully, it went away after some allergy medication and a couple hours of rest so I’m all good now, but as a person who has this as a consequence of allergies, hearing this was painful to listen to.

So, I've had hives twice, both from allergic reactions to medication. The second time, which I remember more clearly, I went to the hospital at like- 12:00 or something at night, and I'm pretty sure I got home at about 3 or 4 a clock. But, I remember that both times, I have never used an epi pen. (I think that's how you spell it)

this happened to me yesterday and today. saturday night, my body started feeling itchy everywhere. i had red spots on my arms and legs, but i didn’t think anything about it. i thought i had mosquito bites since i live in a very humid area where they thrive, but i stared feeling itchy in odd places, like on my scalp and neck. and then when i woke up today, i broke out in full blown hives on my legs and had a rash on my arm. turns out i have a spice allergy :(

oH gOsH something very similar happened to me actually lol. I remember waking up one morning a few years ago with some large red splotches all over my skin. They were a little itchy but not unbearable like you experienced. I told my mom about it and she didn't know what was happening so she just sent me to school with giant (might I add very noticeable) red spots all over. I made sure to wear long sleeves and pants that day lol. As the day progressed, I just got more and more itchy, to the point where if I moved too much, I'd literally fall to the ground and look like I'm having a seizure with how much I was scratching and twitching. It felt like my skin was constantly on itchy sensitive fireeeee 😭I went to an after school care, so the whole time I was there, I wasn't able to participate in any of the physical activities they had us do bc moving was bleh. The next day was a little bit less itchy, but I still had big ol' hive spots all over. So we went to urgent care, and they asked me basically the same questions they asked you. The answer to all of them was no, and they didn't tell me I had dermatitis either. They said that it was hives and they didn't know what they were caused by so they gave me some medication and told me to be careful or smth. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Choco Mints I’m sorry to hear that. Fortunately for me, the best middle school in New York City where I attend (not trying to brag but to show why there is a difference as it is the “best”), the teachers know what students go through and they give us assignments that only take about 5 hrs with all 10 classes COMBINED. In addition, most teachers are very loose with deadlines, meaning that I can turn in late work and receive full credit. Furthermore, I sent in a WHOLE WEEK worth of science hw late and the teacher said “don’t stress yourself, you have until next Friday to make up your work”. When she said that, I was already done with all the work because it was sooo EZ, but I still had 1 WEEK to give in the work I already finished. Luckily for me, some teachers barely even give work, probably once a week or once every 2 weeks.
My School is Queens Gateway To Health Sciences Secondary School.
Hope you do better with future online hw and assignments. Best of luck.

This happened to me last (x2) year near December 2020
My mother thought it was only temporary but lately it got suddenly worse and my father is the one who only noticed it and immediately take me to the nearest hospital. The doctor gave us the prescription to cure hives.
To my experience is the worst thing you could ever have, trust me is not like an ordinary cold that you can cure. Is like you can't even move a bit of your own body

Even though it was the US (and California for the first one) the medical bills wouldn't have been that bad. First off the most expensive costs come from surgery's (mind you them straitening your nose is considered a "minor" surgery), then if they stick in IV in you for medicines or fluids is the next most expensive. Otherwise a quick little checkup costs ~$100. Really the most expensive thing would be if she had to pay for the Epipen, but I don't know my own experience in Arizona Urgent Care and Hospitals is that they always gave me a Epipen for free (for some reason).

I know this is an old video. I just wanna say. I have an autoimmune condition of chronic idiopathic hives and if you're struggling with it, I was prescribed Zyrtec and that shit is magic. Just don't miss more than one dose. It comes back with a vengeance and gives you vivid dreams/nightmares.
I also tested negative with a scratch test, on all counts, and I will say that the bird likely didn't cause the reaction, but just irritated it. I also get itchy around birds but I'm not allergic. It's the feathers. The texture just bugs your skin and your immune system goes "OH WE'RE DYING.. LET ME MAKE IT WORSE".
I, too, have felt the pain of your body being on fire and pins and needles of itch.
It is straight hell and I wouldn't wish it on Satan himself. Godspeed to anyone who experiences a reaction similar to this.

I remember the school I was in was putting on a musical, and I was already stressed about putting in job applications and applications for private schools incase i wanted to go to a private school. But when the musical was announced as HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, I died for two reasons. 1. ITS HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL and 2. My brother, who I've basically had to live up to my entire life, did an amazing production of it, and I didn't want to screw up since this was the same school my brother grew up acting in and my family had a lotta connections.
So the list of stress right now is, Job Applications, Private school Applications, and fear of failure in the eyes of my parents. But here comes another one, I don't act. Which was good, I am too socially awkward for it I would have a panic attack instantly. But the thing that was added, was the fact that I was promoted to being the lights manager for the musical. And there was a new staff running the musical who had never done it before!
So with the stress of being the lighting manager for a director who had never run a musical in our district before, having to learn all the commands and memorize the emergency protocoles for it, while also teaching an apprentice who'll take the stress hellhole next year from me, and training two spotlights who knew absolutely nothing about opperating a spotlight. One of the spotlights was actually broken, and we had to consider if we had to run the show, WITHOUT A SECOND SPOT. So that was stressful.
Another thing was that the cast of the musical was basically 80 children, making it IMPOSSIBLE to light them all. And if anyone is familiar with High School Musical, the whole sciency competetion, auditions and basketball game being at the same time. Meant I had to turn on and off the lights for THREE GROUPS, on when they said their lines, and off after they finished. Then all of them for the chorus of the stupid song.
So, once again, we only had ONE working spotlight, and had to on and off spotlight three groups with two inexperienced spotlighters, (not their fault btw). The directors were asking me to do something impossible, and to add it all up standardized testing was coming up for us and we all had to cram the hell out of our schedules to work on it.
So one of the days before the musical, I shit you not. I woke up, walked into school, felt fine and then in second period when the standardized tests were mentioned, and the dates just happened to be RIGHT AFTER THE MUSICAL, quite literally only a weekend between the stressful musical and then stressful staring at a screen for 4 hours for 2 days. technically only one day since we had a weekend performance.
So after that, my entire vision starting swimming and blacking out for the rest of the day. I couldn't walk forwards without wobbling and I constantly felt like I was going to loose my lunch. I was ignoring the entire thing due to the fact we had our final dress rehearsal that day, and I didn't want to leave my team since I was the manager. (Yes i had a teacher helping me, but he also had to leace an hour early every rehearsal).
Eventually I fell into fourth period, and my teacher was staring at me like I was crazy. I kept closing my eyes and feeling like I was going to faint constantly. So I go to the nurse, tell the nurse that I just need pain relief or something, and she instantly calls my parents to pick me up while I'm HORRIFIED because "I NEEDA BE THERE FOR REHEARSAL-".
So the second I get home, I hit my bed hard and then wake up at 11am THE NEXT FUCKING DAY. I had slept through school, and I was once again panicking and rushed to get my crap together as I prepared for the first show of the musical. For the next three weeks my body would constantly shut down and give up. Because, HAHA softball started. (Fun fact, I over worked my entire upper back so badly that I now have to be on anti-inflamatory meds and also I have to go to PT. I legit thought my entire upper back was paralyzed before I got a diagnosis)
I didn't realized until it was over that it was due to a lot of overstress and not taking care of myself so I could work on solving a lot of the problems in school and out of school. I pulled so many all nighters, skipped so many meals and replaced water with coffee and coka-cola so much, that my body had to give up.
Lesson of the day, TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF.

Not sure you'll ever see this but figured I'd post anyway. I wanted to thank you for sharing your experience. I deal with an autoimmune disorder that causes chronic hives. I've had them, every day, for almost ten years now. Some days are worse than others but I have to carry an epi-pen everywhere I go just in case they close off my throat, and I'm on so many medications I can't work because I can't drive because I can barely even walk straight (literally). I wanted to thank you for sharing your experience because it's helped put my own into perspective and helped me feel less alone. I hope you have an amazing life and thank you for all the work you're doing. What you do, in its own way, makes the world a better place.

      it was early christmus
dad hadnt returned, we all had lost hopes, mom started crying, wondering weather he would ever come back
me and my sister sat down thinking where he would have gone
and lived out the rest of the day normally,
and suddenly we woke up on 4 am,
as we heard mom gasp, we came outside to see what happend out of curiocity
it turned out mom was outiside Looking at a floating figure
my sister shouted - ITS SANTA! :D
meanwhile i look up and it was father on his arms
and my mother still in gasp started tearing up
my sister being overjoyed on what just happend
our father looked quite embaressed and apologized in a *hah... sorry i kinda forgot the way home* kind of a way
      where mom huged him
we looked at his arms, ALAS! it was a packet of milk
as soon as we say that, i looked at the side where santa was to thank that jolly man
but all i could see was a small shadow near the moon fading slowly
it was a god blessing miracle to this beautiful world

I’ve gotten hives before, it happened like this: I was trying to go to sleep but I felt so itchy like really itchy it hurt a lot so I got up to tell my mom, I went over to my mom and she saw the bumps, she was worried so she looked up what the heck was happening to me and yep they were hives. For me to calm down and distract me from scratching she gave me her iPad, but she then took it away because she was wanted me to sleep. But it was PAINFUL!!!! I thought I was never gone be able to sleep (I eventually did eventually). I got some cream to help and I’m fine now :)

Ive had hives before, and i missed so much school bc of it. I was i think 6 or 7? And it got so bad once i had to go to the hospital in the middle of the night, like maybe 12:55am, and i literally couldnt feel my body, the only thing i felt was pain. Also, to help the hives, you should have gotten some calamine lotion bc it helped A LOT. It was very close to an epi-pen but the hives came back after 30 mins-an hour, though it was very nice to feel no pain for that rime being. Lol.

Funny story, I can relate to you but instead of getting hives from stress. I had a couple heart failures from stress. And let me tell you something, choking on your own bodily fluids and the feeling of a elephant standing on your chest sounds exactly what you think. Who knew coughing up your own bodily fluid that your 29 year old heart couldn't pump out of your lungs could be so fun. Crazy what stress can do to a human body

all i could see was darkness and these blobs with faces running towards me with murder in their eyes and serpent smiles. i was in so much pain i was crying all night and long after. i had to get injected with something that was NOT an epi pen. even with the freezing my hand still hurt when i was injected. it jerked and my dad yelled at me saying i now had a broken needle in my body. turns out he was lying
